Librería del Colegio is a school supplies distributor from Bahía Blanca, Argentina.
The people from Librería del Colegio called us because they had to solve the problem they had with the circuit of their shippings. Until then, they had to do everything manually, noting information in notebooks. Thus, the information was difficult to access and search data points became very tedious and demanded a long time. In addition, shipping documents were performed manually, using conventional agendas to keep the list of transport, among other things.
We proposed to automate this circuit by developing an application that runs entirely in their local network and in which each computer in the company can access the information at the time they want.
The shipping system, among other things, allows to: Keep an updated and easily accessible transport companies with agenda, and a search engine for seeking which days those transport companies are traveling to the locations.
We saw the need to create a module to manage shipments made to outside the city, allowing to print the shipping documents per duplicate. There is a module to handle local distribution sheets, a management system for recording payments made by customers, etc.
In addition, the system stores every movement made in the database and performs various statistics about the data that is in it. It also has a system of login per user with corresponding password.
The system was also developed to connect with Tango Gestión (current billing system and management used by the company) to take information from existing customers, among other things.
The project was installed in a server of the company, and we conducted a maintenance period answering each correction emerged with the use of the system.
The end result was very positive for Librería del Colegio because they really accelerated working time about what they handled before, streamlined internal communication of the company and generated new reports, information and statistics previously unavailable.
